How Older Adults with Chronic Illnesses Can Assess Whether to Get the COVID-19 Vaccine

Many states are expanding their vaccine distribution to a include adults 75 and older, some in that population have hesitations about receiving a novel vaccine. Many of them also have chronic illnesses that put them at higher risk of complications if they do contract COVID-19 but are afraid of interactions between the chronic illness and the vaccine. Here, CNN talks with different medical experts in order to answer some of these concerns, with the main takeaway being that people should talk to their physicians but that the risks from COVID-19 outweigh the risk of the vaccine.
