COVID-19 Home Safety Information Center

As we’ve been spending more time indoors, it’s important to take the necessary steps to ensure the safety of your home. For this reason, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission has compiled safety checklists to keep in mind while quarantining at home with young children, older children, and seniors. One area the article identifies is the danger of unintended pediatric poisonings, which can happen in the home and most often with these five products: blood pressure medications, acetaminophen, bleach, ibuprofen, and laundry packets. This may be a helpful resource to share with clients, especially if your clinic focuses on pediatric or family populations. These checklists are downloadable, printable, and also available in Spanish!
